How we work
From Suitability Check to Handover
Six controlled stages, with product-specific information at the centre.

Assess suitability
We identify the substrate, existing coating, joints, damage and moisture risks. If the surface is not a suitable coating candidate, we say so before quoting.

Specify the system
The quote records the preparation, primer, decorative coating and protective topcoat proposed for the inspected surface.

Approve the finish
Colour direction, veining or stone-look pattern and gloss level are agreed before the main application begins.

Prepare and protect
Surrounding surfaces are protected and the benchtop is cleaned, repaired and prepared to the standard required by the specified system.

Apply and cure
Coats are applied in sequence and left for the product-specific recoat and cure periods. Access restrictions are confirmed before work starts.

Inspect and hand over
We complete a final inspection and provide the recorded products, cure requirements and care instructions for the finished surface.

Is an epoxy-coated benchtop food-safe?
That is product-specific. SQPD will only state a food-contact or food-preparation claim when the exact specified system has current manufacturer documentation supporting that use and its limitations.
Is the finish heat-resistant and scratch-resistant?
Heat and scratch performance depends on the exact topcoat, cure and use conditions. The quote and handover information identify the specified product guidance. Trivets and cutting boards may still be required.
How long before the benchtop can be used?
Recoat, light-use and full-cure times vary by product and site conditions. We confirm the access restriction and expected handover timing from the specified product information before work begins.
How much does an epoxy benchtop application cost?
The price depends on the substrate, condition, repairs, edges, joins, access and selected finish. We provide a fixed written quote after assessing the existing benchtop.
What warranty applies?
The written quote identifies the workmanship warranty and any separate manufacturer product warranty that applies to the exact system. We do not apply a generic warranty claim across unidentified products.
