Sherwood (4075) sits on the western bank of the Brisbane River about 9km south-west of the CBD, between Graceville and Corinda on the Ipswich rail line. The village along Sherwood Road, the rail station and the Sherwood Arboretum on the riverfront give the suburb its centre, and the streets around them are largely interwar: 1920s and 30s timber cottages and Queenslanders on stumps, with weatherboard or chamferboard walls, timber windows and VJ interiors.
